Just a few shots from an afternoon visit to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Park.
Head shot sessions can bore a guy to death.
Its always good to have a few in the crowd that like to have a little fun.
Even better when the whole group gets into it.
I am still tyring to get the lightning capture thing down. We don’t get a lot of lightning storms here in my area, certainly not like out west, so its a slow learning process. The only capture I managed last night was one from over the Crooked River.
I really need to get a lightning trigger.
Petoskey just officially opened its Bear River whitewater park and so I got a chance to shoot something new. I used the wrong lens for some of it but it didn’t turn out to bad for a first attempt.
There are a limited number of days each year when conditions are right for ice boats to sail on the frozen bay in Harbor Springs, Michigan but they always look nice sitting out on the almost black and white winter landscape.
.
I have done an article about these boats in the past and even got to take a ride in one. They are very fast and I can see how you could get hooked on driving one. Not personally my style but certainly something everyone should try at least once.
Very warm weather made lots of fog along the shores of Lake Michigan. With the snow melted the exposed ice looked like frozen waves all along the shoreline.
